Join us for Summer Sounds on the Green, our free concert series happening every third Friday of the month, all summer long. Bring your lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and your dancing shoes for an unforgettable evening of live music in the heart of the center.

Each month features a different local band bringing their unique sound to the stage. Whether you’re into rock, pop, jazz, or soul, there’s something for every music lover to enjoy.

Friday, June 20 – Modern Highway - Top 40 Dance Band, 5pm-8pm
- Based in Southern California, and fronted by premier duo, Christina LaRocca and Gene Micofsky, MODERN HIGHWAY is your new favorite band. Comprised of a group of musicians who have toured the world, won awards, and performed with the best, they are ready with hundreds of songs in their catalog. Spanning the decades and bringing you hits that range from modern to classic, their set list will elevate your event and impress with the best of dance, classic rock, pop, R&B, country, soul, reggae, and more.
Friday, July 18 – Surf's Up - Beach Boys Tribute, 5pm-8pm
- “Surf’s Up Beach Boys Tribute“ Just like the real thing but Younger” … Surf’s up is one of the first true Beach Boys tribute bands in the world. They have been perfecting & recreating the Beach Boys sound for 25 years. Literally since they were kids. Keeping it in the family – the band consists of 2 brothers Donny & Danny Goldberg, their father Don Goldberg Sr. who founded the group and close cousin Denny Hardwick. Their sibling harmonies capture the authentic blend of the Beach Boys like no other. Not just another “tribute band”, these veterans naturally bring the magical “Sound of Summer” to your event. Surfs Up also goes beyond Beach Boys , they have a huge variety of music to play for all ages and genres. Classic Rock, 60’s 70’s and 80’s Pop Rock – Top 40. So they will keep the party rockin to fit the venue. They are fully self contained as far as Sound, Lights and iPod background music. So you have less to worry about.
Friday, August 15 – Bill Magee - Blues Band, 5pm-8pm
- Jimi Hendrix was playing as Jimmy James…when Willie (Bill) Magee met, befriended and eventually joined up with Hendrix to form the band “Jimmy James and the Flames.” In 1967, Hendrix went to England, and Magee took his newly formed band, the “Kansas City Playboys” on a tour around Europe. The rest is history…now after a brief hiatus Bill Magee has felt the pull of the blues once again and come out of retirement. Catch a performance of his and see the best of Southern Blues music. Nowadays, Bill Magee is one of San Diego, California’s busiest working musicians. He can be seen around the greater San Diego Area on a regular basis and throughout the Southwest and beyond!
